About Laura Auberry

Reverend Laura Auberry has served as the Lead Pastor at Ebenezer United Methodist Church since July 2024 and as the Associate Pastor for Youth at Park Street United Methodist Church. Guided by her belief in God’s unconditional love, Laura is passionate about helping others recognize and embrace this truth through her preaching and community work.

Her prior ministry includes serving churches in Raleigh, NC, and Michigan, as well as interning with the Raleigh Wesley Foundation. She was commissioned as a provisional elder in the United Methodist Church in June 2024.

A graduate of Davidson College and Duke Divinity School, Laura grew up in Greensboro, North Carolina. In her free time, she enjoys exploring Belmont, reading, baking, hiking, and spending time with her dog, Emmy. Laura is dedicated to helping others grow in faith and experience God’s love in all aspects of life.

About Brandon Whitesell

A Gastonia native, Brandon Whitesell discovered his passion for music at the age of 5, beginning piano lessons at Gaston School of the Arts and continuing 13 years of private instruction. Alongside his talent for piano, he also developed a gift for singing, earning a bachelor’s degree in music with a concentration in vocal performance from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in 2009.

After returning to Gastonia, Brandon joined Ebenezer UMC in 2013 as a pianist and accompanist before taking on the role of Music Director in 2015.

About Margaret Huddleston

Margaret joined Ebenezer UMC as the Administrative Assistant in June 2013, following a long full-time career in accounting. Seeking a part-time role, she found her work at Ebenezer to be a true blessing. Over the years, she has worked with several pastors, creating many wonderful experiences.

Margaret is a proud mother of two daughters, grandmother to five granddaughters, and great-grandmother to two great-grandchildren. She treasures the time she spends with her family, considering them her greatest blessings.
